The Trial of Project Pat’s Son: Inside the Charjean Park Homicide & September 2026 Trial Date

On January 12, 2025, amidst a severe winter snowstorm across Memphis, Tennessee, 21-year-old Patrick Houston Jr. was shot and killed inside a vehicle near Charjean Park and Long Street in South Memphis. Patrick Houston Jr. was the son of Memphis hip-hop legend Patrick Houston (Project Pat) and the nephew of Three 6 Mafia co-founder Jordan Houston (Juicy J).

Following a six-month investigation by the Memphis Police Department and federal authorities, U.S. Marshals tracked down and arrested 19-year-old Talia Jones in Minneapolis, Minnesota, indicting her for Facilitation of First-Degree Murder under Tennessee Code Annotated § 39-11-403.
